ReliaQuest Bowl: Mississippi State vs. Illinois

Time: 12:00 p.m. ET | TV Channel: ESPN | Live Stream: ESPN+, FuboTV | Spread: MSST -3.0

Keeping the analysis to a minimum here because this is the gist of it. No way Mississippi State is losing the first game since Mike Leach’s passing on a field where there’s a pirate ship behind one of the end zones.

Pick: Mississippi State 28, Illinois 17

Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic: Tulane vs. USC

Time: 1:00 p.m. ET | TV Channel: ESPN | Live Stream: ESPN+, FuboTV | Spread: USC -2.5

Understanding the problems that USC’s defense gave them all season, I don’t think Tulane is ready for this level of offense. The Green Wave are going to put up points but I also think the Trojans have the athletes to force a turnover or two and ultimately pull away for a big win.

Pick: Tulane 38, USC 54

Cheez-It Citrus Bowl: LSU vs. Purdue

Time: 1:00 p.m. ET | TV Channel: ABC | Live Stream: ESPN+, FuboTV | Spread: LSU -15.5

Given some of the, um, rumors going around LSU, I’m not sure how focused this team is going to be. Having said that, Purdue has a lot of opt-outs and players leaving. I still think the Tigers are going to win, but 15.5 is just way, way too many points for an offense that doesn’t have many pass-catchers outside of Kayshon Boutte, who isn’t playing.

Pick: LSU 22, Purdue 14

Rose Bowl Game: Penn State vs. Utah

Time: 5:00 p.m. ET | TV Channel: ESPN | Live Stream: ESPN+, FuboTV | Spread: UTA -1.5

This line has been moving all over the place but I love Utah in spots like this. They almost clipped Ohio State in the Rose Bowl last year and might’ve if Cam Rising hadn’t gotten hurt. I don’t see the same result against a good-not-great Penn State team. Give me the Utes looking inspired and getting this done on the field.
