TCU gets troubling injury update on key weapon for National Championship Game
The TCU Horned Frogs are playing for a national championship, but they might be without one of their star weapons, running back Kendre Miller.
After shocking the College Football World with their upset over Michigan, the TCU Horned Frogs will play the Georgia Bulldogs in the National Championship. However, they may be without one of their best players in running back, Kendre Miller.
The star running back is dealing with a knee injury sustained in the Fiesta Bowl. Head coach Sonny Dykes says that Miller is questionable heading into the bout with Jalen Carter and the mighty Bulldog defense that has kept Georgia at the top spot of college football for much of this season.
In Miller’s absence, Emari Demercado stepped up with a dominant performance against the Wolverines, ensuring that Heisman finalist Max Duggan and the rest of the Horned Frogs would be alive for another week with their biggest test looming.
TCU may be without star RB Kendre Miller vs. Georgia
It’s going to take a complete team effort, the same kind of effort the Horned Frogs showed against Michigan but greater. The Bulldogs are double-digit favorites heading into the contest, and the SEC is viewed by many, especially ESPN, as the greatest conference in college football. Should Miller be out, there will be a large void to fill.
With over 1,300 yards and 17 touchdowns, Miller has shown that he is an excellent talent and will likely be drafted in April to a team that can utilize his skill set. But if he cannot go, Demercado will probably get the brunt of the carries, and redshirt freshman Trent Battle will likely serve as Demercado’s backup if Miller is out.

Whatever the case, here’s hoping Kendre Miller is healthy enough to travel with his team to Los Angeles for the game. His presence alone is a good omen for TCU as they get set to play in the biggest game in school history against the defending champions. It’s already been one fantastic story that can add a magical final chapter if the night falls in their favor.
