ESPN analyst and former Georgia linebacker David Pollack declared the Bulldogs the next kings of college football right in front of Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

The Georgia Bulldogs were the heavy favorites entering the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against the TCU Horned Frogs. Well, Georgia certainly lived up to expectations, as they demolished TCU to take a dominant 38-7 lead entering halftime after putting up 354 yards of total offense in just two quarters. It was a great night to be a Georgia fan or alum.

During ESPN’s halftime show, analyst and former Georgia linebacker David Pollack declared that the Bulldogs have taken over college football. Pollack said this while sitting next to Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

“And Georgia, obviously, you’ve seen in the past couple of seasons now, they’ve really taken hold of college football,” said Pollack.

Well, that was awkward.

Just last year, the Bulldogs defeated Saban’s Crimson Tide in the CFP National Championship Game. They were able to do so thanks to phenomenal talent on the offense and defense. And even though the Bulldogs watched as some of their top-tier talent leave for the NFL, they still had a stacked roster.

This year, Georgia showed that they were not to be taken lightly. After all, they destroyed the Tennessee Volunteers immediately after they were ranked No. 1 by the CFP selection committee in their first rankings of the season. They went undefeated for the remainder of the season, and clinched their spot in the Playoff by defeating the LSU Tigers 50-30.
