Watch Stetson Bennett IV get emotional curtain call in national championship blowout
By Scott Rogust
In his final game with the Georgia Bulldogs, quarterback Stetson Bennett IV received a curtain call in the fourth quarter of the CFP National Championship Game.
Quarterback Stetson Bennett had the chance to leave college football on top. As a senior, Bennett could officially end his tenure with the Georgia Bulldogs by winning the College Football Playoff National Championship for the second consecutive year.
On Monday, Jan. 9, Georgia didn’t let their foot off the gas pedal, as they dominated the TCU Horned Frogs in the National Championship Game.
The game was so out of reach that Bennett received his curtain call from head coach Kirby Smart with over 13 minutes remaining in regulation. And yes, it was an emotional moment as Bennett exited the field for the final time as quarterback for the Georgia football program.
