TCU Horned Frogs fans were very sad while seeing the football team get destroyed by the Georgia Bulldogs in the CFP National Championship Game at a watch party.

The TCU Horned Frogs had a magical 2022 season, which brought them to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. They did, after all, show they belonged after defeating the Michigan Wolverines 51-45 in the Fiesta Bowl. But, they found out through the first two quarters of the CFP National Championship Game that the Georgia Bulldogs were just at a whole other level above them.

At halftime, the Horned Frogs trailed the Bulldogs 38-7. TCU’s defense couldn’t do anything to stop Georgia’s offense, who scored points on every one of their first half drives.

Let’s take a look at the TCU watch party in Fort Worth, Texas. Well, there weren’t many smiles as they watched the CFP National Championship Game on the big screens.

There were looks of dismay and a couple of surrender cobras. Simply put, this wasn’t the way that they expected the game to go.

After the Horned Frogs seemingly had some hope in the first half after quarterback Max Duggan rushed for a two-yard touchdown to cut the team’s deficit to 10-7. But, from there, it was all Georgia, as they scored 28 unanswered points.

A 37-yard touchdown reception by wide receiver Ladd McConkey. A six-yard touchdown run by quarterback Stetson Bennett. A one-yard touchdown run by Kendall Milton. A one-handed, 22-yard reception by wide receiver Adonai Mitchell.

Throw in three turnovers by TCU’s offense (two interceptions and one fumble), and you’ve got yourselves a miserable first half if you cheer for the Horned Frogs.

In total, TCU’s defense surrendered 354 yards of total offense to Georgia, who averaged 9.3 yards per play.

Not a great start for the Horned Frogs, who look to be the first Texas school to win the national championship in the College Football Playoff era.
