“Breadman” Jalen Carter is about to be the NFL’s next version of Ndamukong Suh

While the extracurriculars after the whistle may not lead to an apt comparison, Jalen Carter may be the closest thing we have seen in the college game to Nebraska legend Ndamukong Suh. Had Carter been draft eligible a year ago, he would have gone ahead of his former Georgia teammate Travon Walker, you know, the No. 1 overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Carter is on a shortlist of candidates who could be worthy of going No. 1 overall this spring. If the Chicago Bears stay put with the top overall selection, it will probably either be him or Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. Should teams trade up for a quarterback, Carter will not be getting past the Seattle Seahawks selecting at No. 5 in place of the fallen-off-the-horse Denver Broncos.

Georgia replacement for Jalen Carter: Bear Alexander

After seeing TCU quarterback Max Duggan get mauled by a bear on Monday night, do not be surprised if Bear Alexander is the next great defensive line disruptor to star at Georgia. While the Dawgs could lose a few pieces around Carter in the upcoming draft, Alexander is only entering his true sophomore season. The Denton, Texas native tearing up TCU in the national title was absurd.
