Packers 2023 schedule: Who are their opponents next season?
By Josh Wilson
The Green Bay Packers 2022 season is officially over. With that, the view goes toward 2023. While the roster is TBD, opponents are not.
The Green Bay Packers 2022 season is over. It looked like the nail was all but in the coffin fairly early in the year but credit the team, they got themselves in position to be in a win-and-get-in scenario in Week 18 and they… Couldn’t get it done.
Losing to the Lions to end your season is not how you want to finish things, which is why next year will be so important.
Who knows how this team will look next year. Is Aaron Rodgers coming back? His comments after the Lions game and Instagram stories from former teammates create a ton of questions and hint at a lot, but give no clear answers.
Lots to figure out between now and training camp, but for now, at least we know who the opponents are, right? Unfortunately, there are some sizable questions there, too. Here’s who the Packers drew in 2023.
Packers 2023 schedule
Here’s who will visit Lambeau Field in 2023:
- Chiefs
- Chargers
- Rams
- Saints
- Buccaneers
- Bears
- Lions
- Vikings
And here’s who the Packers will travel to take on next year:
- Falcons
- Panthers
- Broncos
- Raiders
- Giants
- Steelers
- Bears
- Lions
- Vikings
The NFC North makes up three games on the road and at home. The in-conference draw in the NFC for the entire NFC North is the NFC South… That brings some interesting matchups to gauge and is a group of teams worth keeping an eye on this offseason.
Tom Brady is a free agent and could outright retire. The Saints absolutely have to make some changes. The Panthers will have a new head coach and a new quarterback. The Falcons played better than expected last year and could be sneakily better than you might peg them to be next year, too if they make the right moves.
The AFC divisional draw (AFC West) is a real challenge. Thankfully, the Packers have the two hardest teams in that division (Chiefs, Chargers) at home, which could create at least a little bit of an advantage for Green Bay. There’s no doubt Packers fans can fill up the stands in Vegas when they take on the Raiders, and the last game in that division is on the road against the Broncos.
Their other two away games are against the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers (that makes up the newly-added 17th game of the season for Green Bay).
Probably not the hardest schedule at first glance, but so much is up in the air in the NFC South. It’s worth keeping tabs there this offseason. First and foremost, though, the Packers could be seeing some big changes of their own.
