Kirby Smart confirms leaked Georgia pre-game speech was not from TCU game

Kirby Smart let everyone know that his leaked pre-game speech was not from Georgia vs. TCU.
It has been firmly established that Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart is a master motivator.
The head coach of the back-to-back national champions was somehow able to convince his juggernaut roster chock full of four and five-star talent that they were the underdogs who were going 6-6 or 5-7. Whether you want to call it gaslighting or getting his players to buy in, it worked. Smart has proven to have an uncanny ability to use his words, profane or not, to fire up his team.
So when rumors started to fly about a leaked pre-game speech, people thought it may have come from last Monday’s national title bout vs. TCU. As it turns out, that was not the game the viral audio came from. Smart would confirm this to fellow Georgia alum Ernie Johnson on Inside the NBA. To be fair, Smart actually has no idea what game this speech came from; they are all like this.

Kirby Smart’s leaked pre-game speech was not from the national title bout
To be frank, it was way too quick of a turnaround for this speech to have come from the TCU game. Some have speculated that it came from either the SEC Championship Game vs. LSU or the most recent “Game of the Century” between SEC East rival Tennessee Between the Hedges. Either way, Smart does not seem to mind that this audio leaked out. Honestly, Smart seems to love that it did.
See, this is not a Georgia trade secret. Smart is not divulging the special sauce that makes Georgia football great. It just shows his incredible ability to fire up his team pre-game … with choice words. He is not the first head coach to use these tactics, nor will he be the last. However, name another coach who can light a fire in his players like this. You want to run through a brick wall for him now!
Ultimately, this leaked audio is such an invaluable recruiting tool for Smart and his coaching staff. Georgia has no problem recruiting top players, but you can understand how this could play on an impressionable four or five-starred mind. These kids dream of playing in the NFL. Smart can get them there. Georgia is no longer just an SEC powerhouse; it has become a massive national brand.
If only there was some way to bottle up this raw enthusiasm spewing from Smart’s vocal cords…
