Out of pocket: Arch Manning loses his Texas student ID … again
By John Buhler
Texas quarterback Arch Manning once again proves he has absolutely zero pocket awareness.
Arch Manning’s Texas student ID is so nice, he lost it twice in the span of two weeks!
The first of the third generation’s of America’s football royal family fumbled the snap once again. The last time we have seen a quarterback in Texas turn the ball over this prolifically, Matt Schaub was throwing pick-sixes in Kyle Shanahan’s Houston Texans offense. Unlike Texas, Manning will be back with his ID for a third time. So third time’s a charm, right? Let’s see how spring practice goes…
Wouldn’t it be crazy if Quinn Ewers lost the starting job to a Manning who keeps losing his ID?
Arch Manning can pick up the Texas playbook after picking up his lost student ID
From five stars to losing the same student ID twice. Is this something you can major in at the University of Texas at Austin? Forgetfulness is not what it will take to bring Texas back once it joins its new league in a few years. Does Steve Sarkisian have to purchase his five-star embarrassing Neville Longbottom Remembrall? Losing a student ID is just like misplacing one’s wizarding robes…
Manning has only been on campus for two weeks, but what is his accountabilibuddy even doing?! They are going to have to tape this student ID to Manning’s non-throwing arm like a wristband. Tell me you were a former leash kid without telling me you were a former leash kid. While there is nothing wrong with that, like being a yellow bedwetter, you have to grow out of it after … Ten.
Thoughts may arrive like butterflies on a prestigious college campus, but you may have to rest your head on a pillow made of concrete if the student working at your dorm’s front desk does not believe you are the chosen one. Our only hope is for the next Manning Hour to be a public service announcement on how to not lose a student ID on a weekly basis. His father will hear about this!
Should a Big 12 opponent wants to find Texas’ playbook before a game, keep your eye on the Arch.
