Make or Break, the hit surfing docuseries featuring Tatiana Weston-Webb and Filipe Toledo is set to premiere season 2 on Apple TV+ in Feb.

The hit Apple TV+ docuseries called Make or Break is coming back for a second season. The first season was a huge success as fans around the world got a special glimpse into the ins and outs of the World Surf League (WSL) and the top athletes as they compete for a world title. Surfing as a competitive sport might be new to some who just picture the sport as a pastime for beach bums, however, now everyone is able to see just how difficult it is to win a WSL title and all the sacrifices that go into it through the year.

Season two will follow some of the biggest names in surfing, including the legendary Kelly Slater, 8-time world champion Stephanie Gilmore, 2022 WSL champion Filipe Toledo, 2022 number 4 surfer Tatiana Weston-Webb, and more.

The season will show footage of the 2022 season beginning with the season kickoff at the Billabong Pro Pipeline and concluding at the WSL Final in Lower Trestles, CA. FanSided caught up with Weston-Webb and Toledo as they prepare for the 2023 season to discuss the new season of Make or Break.

Make or Break Comes To Apple TV+ on February 17

The eight-episode season will be released beginning on February 17 with four episodes. The filming took place last year, which turned out to be one of the best years on tour for Toledo. He capped off his 2022 season by being crowned the champion and will forever have those moments caught on film for all to see.

“It feels incredible to be on a platform that, I mean, being honest, I never thought in my life that I, we could actually have a show on one of the biggest platforms, which is Apple TV plus, and actually have our sport up there for the whole world to see it and to watch and see what really happens and to see the ups and downs of our lives, from winning events to not making the cut,” Toledo said. “It’s pretty special and I’m grateful to be part of it.”

Over the past few years surfing as a spectator sport has grown. With the help of documentaries and other shows about surfing, the sport is bigger than ever. Make or Break is a great way for newer fans to get to know some of the stars in the water and for existing fans to get a closer look at their favorite athlete.

“I’m really stoked because it gets the fans super up close and personal with us. I hope they get to feel what we’re feeling when they watch it,” Weston-Webb said. “I’m grateful that they chose me to be a part of it. At the end of the day, they’re making our sport be seen in a way that no one else is and I think that’s really important for us and for fans.”

Watch all the action from the 2022 WSL Championship Tour this season on Make or Break only on Apple TV+ on Feb. 17.
