Did you know that The Simpsons and The Super Bowl have a shared history? Well, they do. There are a bunch of crossover references on various episodes of the show about the Super Bowl and we all know that The Simpsons like to have some timely references.

The Simpsons Season 3 – Episode 49 “Lisa the Geek”

According to the fansite, the episode synopsis is “Homer becomes aware that Lisa can predict football results with incredible accuracy, and the two bond when watching the games. However, Homer secretly takes advantage of Lisa’s ability and uses it to place bets with Moe, making a bundle. However, when Lisa finds out what Homer’s been doing, she calls off the bets – leaving him with a final prediction for the Super Bowl – if Washington win, she loves him, but if Buffalos win, she won’t. Washington come from behind and win.”

The Simpsons Season 10 – Episode 215 “Sunday, Cruddy Sunday”

According to the fansite, the episode synopsis is, “Homer meets a travel agent named Wally Kogen who offers to send him to the Super Bowl for free if he can sign up all of his friends for a special travel package. Homer convinces Moe, Barney, Lenny, Carl, Kirk Van Houten and a bunch of other guys to sign up. All the men pile into a bus Wally furnishes for the trip and drink their way to Miami for the game. When they get there, however, they discover that the tickets Wally sold them were counterfeit.”

The Simpsons Season 16 – Episode 343 “Homer and Ned’s Hail Mary Pass”

“Homer starts to teach sport players his dances and is placed in charge of the halftime show of the next Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Ned creates a violent film about Bible stories, which makes Marge angry, so she stops him from displaying it.”
