NFL rumors: Aaron Rodgers appears on Pat McAfee show

Aaron Rodgers made an appearance on the Pat McAfee show on Wednesday, speaking with the former NFL punter and radio personality about his darkness retreat and, most importantly, recent trade rumors.

Rodgers has been shopped by the Green Bay Packers, with the New York Jets as the most likely destination. No. 12 has reportedly been recruiting some former Packers to New York, as he hasn’t been given this much power previously in Green Bay.

Rodgers went through the timeline of events as to how we got here. Rodgers stated that the Packers tend to get rid of players a year too early rather than a year too late. He discussed the decision to draft Jordan Love, and why he’s in a precarious spot with the team’s front office.

The 39-year-old stated that this conversation would have happened far sooner had he not won back-to-back MVPs prior to last season. Rodgers mentioned that ‘something changed’ in the Green Bay front office after his darkness retreat.

Rodgers apparently went into this darkness retreat at ’90 percent’ retired. However, Rodgers did reveal that he now intends on playing for the New York Jets.
