How many ACC teams are left in March Madness? The conference has seen blue bloods knocked out with just one team remaining in the NCAA Tournament.

The ACC had five teams make the NCAA Tournament field including traditional powerhouse Duke and recent champion Virginia.

However, the No. 4 seed Cavaliers were bounced in the First Round, suffering an embarrassing upset at the hands of Furman, the No. 13 seed in the South Region.

The Blue Devils survived just a bit longer advancing to the Second Round before having their season ended by No. 4 seed Tennessee, 65-52, much to the delight of UNC fans.

So who is left?

March Madness: How many ACC teams are left in the NCAA Tournament?

Now with the Sweet 16 approaching, there is just one ACC team remaining: The No. 5 seed Miami Hurricanes.

Miami were the co-champions of the ACC and they’ve outpaced their conference rivals with a Sweet 16 bid. They took care of No. 12 seed Drake in the Round of 64 before taking it to No. 4 seed Indiana, 85-69, in the Round of 32.

This is the Hurricanes second-straight Sweet 16 appearance under Jim Larranaga. Last year they made it to the Elite Eight.

No. 11 seed NC State had no hopes of joining Miami in the Sweet 16. They lost their opening matchup against No. 6 seed Creighton.

Pittsburgh, also a No. 11 seed, actually matched the Hurricanes with two wins in March Madness so far. They advanced from the First Four with a win over Mississippi State. Then they blasted No. 6 seed Iowa State to move on to the Round of 32. However, their run was ended by No. 3 seed Xavier on Sunday.

The ACC brought five teams to the NCAA Tournament. Four have been knocked out. One remains.
