UNC Tar Heels great Tyler Hansbrough trolled the Duke Blue Devils after their second round loss to Tennessee in March Madness.

Despite being a No. 5 seed, Duke entered the NCAA Tournament with lofty expectations. The Blue Devils were riding an eight-game winning streak, which included victories over Miami and Virginia.

The Blue Devils got off to a strong start; they defeated Oral Roberts 74-53 in the first round. However, they could not keep that momentum going on Saturday, as they fell to No. 4 seed Tennessee, 65-52.

Tennessee senior forward Olivier Nkahmhoua was unguardable. He scored a game-high 27 points (10-13 FG, 3-4 3PT, 4-5 FT). As a team, the Volunteers shot an efficient 42.9 percent from three-point range.

On the flip side, Duke struggled to get things going offensively. They shot an underwhelming 27.3 percent from three and committed 15 total turnovers.

The pair has a combined 11 NCAA tournament titles and produced some of the best alumni in the sport such as Michael Jordan, James Worthy, Jayson Tatum, and Kyrie Irving.

Unsurprisingly, many UNC fans celebrated Duke’s early tournament exit. Following the loss, UNC great Tyler Hansbrough tweeted a GIF of the “I will give my all for Tennessee today” sign:

Hansbrough is one of the most accomplished players in UNC history. He was a three-time first-team All-American. In 2008, he won Naismith College Player of the Year. In 2009, he led the Tar Heels to the NCAA Championship.

During his college career, Hansbrough had an impressive 6-2 record against Duke.

This season, UNC missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010. They had a 20-13 overall record and finished seventh in the ACC.
