Latest glimpses at J.J. McCarthy have Michigan fans way too excited

J.J. McCarthy has clearly put in the time in the Michigan weight room this offseason.

Michigan star quarterback J.J. McCarthy looks like he is about to be the next Brady Quinn on the cover of Men’s Health.

While watching teammate Kris Jenkins shrug more poundage than we thought humanly possible, a bare-chested McCarthy grabbed our undivided attention. This is his third year in the Michigan offseason program, so you better believe McCarthy is getting more and more yolked by the nanosecond. We should call this the Jim Harbaugh body by getting better two percent at a time.

So when the Wolverines play a game of pickup, you better believe McCarthy is on Team Skins.

The only way that game gets better is if a shirtless Harbaugh joins them and slaps the floor.

With the weather about to change, you need to make a clear and direct choice in this manner. Are part of the tarps off initiative or what? The sun is brutal out there. It will burn you and can be massively unforgiving. But should you put in the work in the weight room and never pass up a tall, warm glass of two percent, then you, sir, are allowed to prance around all of Michigan half-naked.

The fact people are salivating over this is kind of hilarious. I mean, your five-star quarterback is certainly some delicious eye candy, but don’t worry about it. He’s going to leave you for a middling NFL franchise next spring. If this year’s No. 3 quarterback prospect can put mayo in his coffee, you better believe next year’s No. 3 quarterback prospect can get the most out of this Harbaugh diet.

Unfortunately, games are won and lost on the field, and not necessarily in the weight room. I have seen a lot of guys pump so much iron in my youth only to ride pine all game and stand there on the sidelines like a buffoon in the rain while it is raining. But McCarthy is about that action, boss. If he plays up to his lofty standard, he will be a Heisman Trophy finalist, just like his college head coach.

It is just the price you pay when destiny is calling thee to New York because you balled out, dawg.
