NASCAR’s Craftsman Truck Series raced at Bristol Motor Speedway for the dirt race on Saturday afternoon. Who took home the trophy?

The NASCAR Truck Series took on Bristol Motor Speedway for the third-ever Dirt Race at the track. It’s the same Bristol every race fan knows and loves, but is filled with dirt, adding a whole new level to the always-popular event.

Entering the day, Zane Smith, last year’s series champion, sat on the pole. Ty Majeski, Kaden Honeycutt, Joey Logano and Stewart Friesen rounded out the top five. Ben Rhodes, last year’s winner, started seventh.

Other notable entrants in the race include full-time Cup Series drivers Chase Briscoe and William Byron, who use this valuable extra track-time to learn for Sunday’s Cup race at the same track.

NASCAR Truck Series: Joey Logano easily takes home the trophy at the Bristol Dirt Race

As always, the dirt race brought a ton of action, resulting in plenty of wrecks and cautions, including ones that took out contenders like Christian Eckes and Tyler Ankrum.

There was no stopping Joey Logano, one of the best NASCAR drivers of this generation, from easily taking home trophy in Saturday’s event. He has won countless races in the Cup and Xfinity Series but Saturday’s race was only the ninth Truck race of his long career.

After winning both stages, Logano, 32, had no issues winning the second race of his Truck Series career.
