NFL rumors: Latest on key NFL Draft prospect visits
By John Buhler
Here are the latest NFL rumors when it comes to some important NFL Draft prospect visits.
NFL rumors season is all about the NFL Draft at this point and for the rest of the month of April.
The 2023 NFL Draft will be here before you know. It will commence during the last weekend of the month in Kansas City, home of the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. Although they will have the last pick in pretty much every round, smart teams like theirs always find ways to get better. It is the goal for all 32 teams entering the draft, no matter how many picks they have.
Let’s check out some very important top-30 visits that are slated to be happening here soon.
Table of Contents
- Carolina Panthers are doing their due diligence with the No. 1 overall pick at quarterback.
- Detroit Lions might be looking at a quarterback with one of their two first-round picks.
- Seattle Seahawks could be a candidate to draft one of the most controversial prospects.
- Tennessee Titans could stop the anticipated slide for one key quarterback draft prospect.
NFL rumors: Carolina Panthers are bringing in Bryce Young for a top-30 visit
Although Frank Reich does not have a great history when it comes to shorter quarterbacks, that is not going to stop the Carolina Panthers from doing their due diligence when it comes to Bryce Young. The former Alabama star and 2021 Heisman Trophy winner will be doing his top-30 visit with the Panthers on Tuesday. Keep in mind that Carolina traded up from nine for the first pick.
While I won’t go as far as to say they need to bring in Kentucky’s Will Levis or Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker for a top-30 visit, but Carolina does need to put out smokescreens to not give off the scent of who they are taking. Some think it will be Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud, while others think it could be Florida’s Anthony Richardson. All the while, Young is the best quarterback prospect in this draft.
Truthfully, I don’t think the Panthers will be criticized if they take either Stroud or Young first. Again, Young is the best prospect, while Stroud is the safest pick because of his size and arm talent. Although Richardson has the highest upside, he probably has the biggest bust potential of any of the five former college star quarterbacks who could end up becoming top-31 draft picks.
At the very least, the Panthers are doing the right thing by bringing in Young for a top-30 visit.
