Big Ten spring games are upon us as spring camp wraps up around the conference. When will each program have their showcase game?

College football fans have to wade through a seemingly endless offseason before football kicks off in the fall.

Fortunately, spring football is a bit of an oasis in the CFB desert. And the pinnacle of that is the annual tradition of spring games, the closest thing to football we’ll all get for months.

The Big Ten’s slate of spring football games will be worth tuning in for this year. Michigan went early as their pursuit of a championship heightens. Now it’s Ohio State’s turn with their quarterback battle to replace C.J. Stroud in full swing.

All Big Ten spring games will be broadcast on Big Ten Network. The lone exception is Purdue, which cancelled their spring game due to ongoing renovations and safety concerns.

  • Illinois Fighting Illini — 8:30 p.m. ET

Saturday, Apr. 22

  • Iowa Hawkeyes — 11 a.m. ET
  • Minnesota Golden Gophers — 12 p.m. ET
  • Nebraska Cornhuskers — 2 p.m. ET
  • Northwestern Wildcats — 2 p.m. ET
  • Wisconsin Badgers — 2 p.m. ET

Saturday, Apr. 29

  • Maryland Terrapins — 12 p.m. ET
  • Rutgers Scarlet Knights — 3 p.m. ET

Over the rest of the month, fans can enjoy Saturdays with football again, even if it’s mostly for show.

Which Ohio State quarterback will stand out? How is Michigan State’s own quarterback melee working out? Does Penn State have what it takes this year to compete for a Big Ten title? And is Indiana moving up or down? We’ll get a glimpse of answers to those questions on Apr. 15.

Then, Illinois gets a Thursday night to themselves before another full slate of Saturday spring games on Apr. 22. Does Iowa’s offense have a pulse? Are the Golden Gophers still rowing together? How is Matt Rhule coming along at Nebraska? How is Luke Fickell faring at Wisconsin? And is Northwestern capable of turning things around?

Finally, spring game Saturday’s conclude on Apr. 29 with Maryland and Rugters.
