5 teams that should stop the Will Levis 2023 NFL Draft freefall
By Josh Wilson
Will Levis didn’t get drafted on night one. He’s a near-lock to go on day two, but we said that on Thursday, too. These teams should grab him if available.
Will Levis was widely expected to go at some point in the first round of the NFL Draft. Thursday came and went, and Levis remained in the green room. It was a depressing sight and, for Levis, an extremely disappointing first day of the draft.
Levis will still get his shot on an NFL team, and is likely expecting to go at some point on Friday. It would be a major shock if he is still available in the third round.
There are some ideal landing spots for him early on in round two. These are the five teams, ranked worst to best fit, that should aim to stop his freefall.
Teams that should stop Will Levis slide: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are nearly just an honorable mention here. They draft 50th overall, and there are several good fits on the slate before Tampa gets another swing at the plate, barring a trade.
Tampa has Baker Mayfield, but that’s far from a good reason to not search for longer-term upgrades at the position if Levis happens to still be available then.
