USMNT rumors: Pulisic to Milan, Pepi to Feyenoord, de la Fuente to Standard
Today’s USMNT rumors include Christian Pulisic being linked with AC Milan, Feyenoord could make a move for Ricardo Pepi and Konrad de la Fuente is attracting interest from Standard Liege.
USMNT rumors: Christian Pulisic to AC Milan
Christian Pulisic starred for the USMNT in their Nations League victory. The player scored twice against Mexico in the semi-finals and was instrumental in the final against Canada. He won player of the tournament and showed that when he gets game time he can perform. He is currently not getting this at Chelsea and is expected to leave the club this summer.
A fresh start could come with a move to Italy. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan is considering Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic to beef up their attack.
Milan finished fourth in Serie A last season so will have Champions League soccer in the next campaign. It would be a chance for Pulisic to compete in a different country and represent one of the World’s biggest clubs.
USMNT rumors: Ricardo Pepi to Feyenoord
It looked like Ricardo Pepi was set to sign for PSV Eindhoven from Augsburg. However, PSV faces competition from another team in the Eredivisie for the USMNT forward.
1908 has reported that “Feyenoord hopes to keep Ricardo Pepi out of the hands of PSV.” A move to Feyenoord could be a better option for Pepi. They won the Eredivisie last season so will go straight into the Champions League. PSV came second so still have to play through qualifiers to make it into European soccer’s premier competition.
Feyenoord is also managed by Arne Slot, who is a very highly-rated coach that was linked with Tottenham Hotspur before Ange Postecoglou got the job.
USMNT rumors: Konrad de la Fuente to Standard Liege
It was reported that Konrad de la Fuente was being offered to clubs in La Liga and the Segunda Division to take him on loan from Marseille. Now it appears a move to Belgium could be on the cards.
Alexandre Peeters has reported that Standard Liege could be his next destination. De la Fuente spent last season on loan at Olympiacos in Greece but only managed just five appearances for the club. A transfer to a side in the Belgian Pro League would make sense as it is unlikely he will get into Marseille’s team at the moment.
The player who began his career at Barcelona needs to find a club where he can play regularly. De la Fuente has three caps for the USMNT but last played for the Stars and Stripes back in 2021.
