I graduated from Indiana University in 2011 with a BA in journalism with minors in music and history. I studied musicology in grad school at CUNY Brooklyn College. My focus was on 20th century music, particularly 20th century pop music.Since then I've freelanced for my local alt-weekly, written or PopMatters and worked in the local beer and food scene. I currently work as the education beat reporter for The Martinsville Reporter-Times.
