Yes, the Cleveland Browns won this past week, but something was off.

The Browns only put up 14 points against a Vikings team that was giving up 26.0 points per game prior to Week 4. Cleveland had a chance to put the game away, but Baker Mayfield missed a wide open Odell Beckham Jr. The Browns walked away victorious, but the Super Bowl contenders (+1300 odds to win the Super Bowl) have yet to show they are true contenders.

We’ll find out just how good the Browns are during the month of October, though.

Cleveland has four games left this month, facing the Los Angeles Chargers and Arizona Cardinals in the next two weeks, respectively. After that, the Browns host the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football and finish the month with a divisional game against the Pittsburgh Steelers

Los Angeles and Arizona showed how good they are in Week 4. Although the Broncos and Steelers lost, they both have good defenses and can present issues for a Browns team that hasn’t looked explosive.

The Browns are currently 12th in the league in points per game, but two of their outings have been against the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears. In terms of a single month, October will be the hardest month for the Browns and they will have to rise to the occasion.

WynnBET has the Browns’ win total set at 11 wins, with the over (-150) favoring the under (+130). If they want to surpass it, they will need to win games like the ones coming up. On top of surpassing their win total, Cleveland has to keep up with Cincinnati and Baltimore in the race for the AFC North crown.

Cleveland hasn’t looked like a Super Bowl team thus far, but maybe this month changes that.
