5 teams that should take a chance on Tyron Smith with Cowboys star entering free agency

4. New York Jets
One of the easiest positional matches in mock drafts is the New York Jets taking an offensive tackle at No. 10 overall. But that doesn't stop them from needing to also take a serious look at Tyron Smith.
Last year, 13 different players started on the offensive line for the Jets. Six of them are free agents. Alijah Vera-Tucker, the team's best lineman, has played just 12 games in the last two years. Meanwhile, 40-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers is coming off an Achilles tear and everyone's jobs are on the line this season.
So maybe double-dip at tackle to really fortify the offense in the trenches, both due to necessity and in the interest of keeping their Super Bowl hopes at quarterback healthy.
Not only does this team need pedigree tackles on the roster, but they also need as many good players as possible to protect from injury. A tackle room of Smith, whoever they take with the 10th overall pick, Max Mitchell, and Carter Warren is well-protected from injury. And allows Vera-Tucker to start at guard.
