At 4-2-1 the Cincinnati Bengals currently sit atop the AFC North standings though their divisional lead isn’t very big as the Baltimore Ravens are nipping at their heels.
Given that the Bengals want to be at full health come their Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars but that may not happen as starting running back Giovani Bernard is dealing with multiple injuries.
While the team has yet to rule him out for the contest it’s possible he could be in danger of missing the tilt given his banged up status.
@Datsko Has a hip pointer and clavicle bothering him and yes he could miss Sunday especially with quick turnaround coming on Thursday.

As noted above the Cincinnati Bengals will only have a few days rest before hosting the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football. Recovering from a game in just a few days is difficult for any player let alone one who isn’t healthy.
If there is a silver lining for the Bengals it’s that they have a very competent backup for Giovani Bernard in rookie rusher Jeremy Hill. If Bernard is to miss any time Hill will handle the vast majority of snaps and will finally get his chance to shine.
Even better is the schedule as both Jacksonville and Cleveland has proven themselves to be two of the worst teams in the NFL this season so it’s not as if the Cincinnati Bengals will be opposing first places teams. Still, the games aren’t played on paper and Cincinnati can’t assume an easy victory over either team with or without Bernard.
It’s expected the running back will have his status updated on Thursday afternoon.
