Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis says the team hit “rock bottom” with its Week 10 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
The Cincinnati Bengals put up one of the most embarrassing performances of the 2014 NFL season in Week 10, getting blown out 24-3 by the Cleveland Browns.

The Bengals had just 165 total yards and quarterback Andy Dalton was 10-33 for 86 yards and three interceptions in the loss.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said Friday he believes his team hit “rock bottom” against the Browns, according to NFL.com.
"“Sometimes you gotta hit rock bottom before you can go all the way back up to the top, and we certainly were at rock bottom a few weeks ago on Thursday night,” Lewis said."
Lewis also defended Dalton, who has quickly become one of the easiest targets in sports for fans and media.
"“We didn’t play well in a lot of areas, we had a lot of things to conspire to make it as though Andy played worse than he did,” Lewis said. “He missed some throws, no question about that, and that is what your quarterback is paid to do. That’s what this job is. But we had some other things kind of erode around him and that helped lead to how poorly we played.”"
However, Cincy was able to bounce back from the tough loss in Week 11, defeating the New Orleans Saints 27-10 this past Sunday.
Lewis added that he’d like to see his team play with more consistency and it’s hard to blame him for wanting that after how terrible they looked in Week 10 and how great they looked in Week 11.
The Bengals take on the Houston Texans this Sunday at NRG Stadium.
