The Detroit Lions are taking on the Green Bay Packers on the road in a game that will determine the NFC North title winner. There was an interesting turn of events when Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers left the game with a leg injury, but eventually he returned.

Then there was this incident later in the game, when Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh appeared to step on Rodgers, intentionally. Now you could normally grant a player the benefit of the doubt, but given Suh’s history as a dirty player you’d have to think this was entirely intentional. Look how he even lifts his foot off the ground to put all his weight on Rodgers leg with his other foot, had it been accidental, that other foot would’ve never left the ground.

If you need more convincing take a look at this angle. It clearly looks like Suh has already stopped his backwards momentum when he stepped on Rodgers. He also had sort of stepped on him already in what appears to be an accident, then still takes another step backwards, and once he is on Rodgers he lifts his other leg up before bringing it straight back down, clearly trying to put weight on Rodgers’ leg.

Or here, take a look at another angle. In this angle you can almost see Suh’s leg rest on Rodgers’ leg, then he makes a conscious decision to lift his other leg and apply weight.

Interestingly enough this isn’t just a Suh problem, Lions center Dominic Raiola is out for this game serving a one-game ban for also stepping on a player.
