Day 8 of the The Championships, Wimbledon has set itself up to be one epic spectacle. World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and challenger Kevin Anderson will play one set to rule them all. After their match was suspended due to darkness the two men will square off in a 5th set do or die. It’s hard to say which player the suspension helped out more. On the one hand, Djokovic was pushed to the limit; but on the other he won sets 3 and 4 rather handily, and looked to have Anderson on the ropes. Buckle up for this match. It may be the only gentlemen’s of the day, but darn if it isn’t a goodie.

The best part is that this is only a primer for the day. After defeating her sister Venus in rather easy fashion, Serena Williams will face Victoria Azarenka, a former world No. 1 who can push Williams to the limit. This could very well be Serena’s most difficult match of the tournament, not to mention the biggest obstacle in her quest for a second Serena Slam.

Two other Americans will be competing in the ladies’ quarterfinals, as tournament surprise Coco Vandeweghe squares off against former champion Maria Sharapova. Madison Keys will take on Angie Radwanska in the day’s latest match. It’s the equivalent to moving day at Wimby, and shouldn’t be missed for any reason.
