Few teams have been more disappointing than the Atlanta Falcons this season.

One of their many problems has come from their rushing attack, which from week-to-week seems to be average, at best, to absolutely dreadful.

The Falcons were taken to task by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon, though mixed in with the low lights were some positive moments from Antone Smith, who the Atlanta Falcons want to get more involved.

Head coach Mike Smith said in his Monday morning press conference that it’s imperative to get Smith the ball more after his touchdown on a combined 92-yards:

"Mike Smith said it is imperative to get Antone Smith involved in the offense."

I’m not exactly sure it’s imperative, though, considering the type of production the Falcons have received out of the backfield from Steven Jackson, Jacquizz Rodgers, and Jason Snelling – it’s understandable.

There’s no word on who would be losing playing time to Smith, assuming he does see more on field action.
