Milwaukee Brewers pitcher thought fallen fan was dead
By Bryan Rose
During Tuesday night’s game at Miller Park, home to the Milwaukee Brewers, a fan accidentally fell over a restaurant railing (which just so happens to sit above the Brewers bullpen) prompting emergency personnel to rush the fan to a local hospital.

The fall was documented here, but the story doesn’t end there as the fan, who was dining at TGI Friday’s landed just feet from Brewers reliever Brandon Kintzler who shockingly was warming up with the wild situation unfolded.
Even crazier? Kintzler wasn’t sure what to do, so he continued to warm up. Why you ask? Obviously – he thought the fan was dead.
“I thought he died. We were sitting there and [catcher Marcus Hamel] yelled, ‘Oh, gosh!’ He didn’t move for a few minutes. I thought he was dead.”
I’m going to assume Kintzler was making light of the scary situation and didn’t really believe the fan to be dead, though, it was certainly an interesting choice of words.
The game was delayed after medical aid was given the fan who was then carried through the outfield to an awaiting ambulance and taken to a local hospital. According to TMZ, the fan, after some treatment, is said to be doing fine and was later released from the hospital.
So no worries, Mr. Kintzler. The fan is not dead, thankfully.
Also – just for reference sake people. Railings are there for a reason. Do what you can not to lean over them too far (especially if you’re a little tipsy) because gravity is a heartless bitch.
