NBA Rumors: Kevin Love ‘unlikely’ to be traded before draft?
By Bryan Rose
The Minnesota Timberwolves apparently had a few trade offers on the table for Kevin Love this past week and there was of course the rumored three-way deal involving the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors which never manifested.

However, the Minnesota Timberwolves appear to be less than thrilled with the prospect of trading Kevin Love (at least publicly) and appear to be in no rush to do so. Given that, former ESPN and current Bleacher Report scribe Ric Bucher says that a deal before the draft is ‘unlikely’.
A few days back news broke suggesting that Love being traded before the draft wasn’t very likely but then came news that the Warriors and Lakers were working on an alleged three-way deal, which put such speculation to bed. Now Bucher suggests the lack of a deal is back on.
So what to make of this? Well, it could be completely accurate as the Timberwolves may feel there’s no rush to trade Love and they’d be able to put forth a bidding war come the February trade deadline just as good, if not better. Or, they could be blowing smoke and trying to get teams interested in acquiring Love to panic in hopes they’ll offer more assets. The latter is more likely as the Timberwolves really don’t want the Love trade rumors circulating around their team all season and they appear to only be delaying the inevitable by retaining him for any longer than they need to.
Granted, the T’Wolves aren’t going to trade Kevin Love just to do it, but there are plenty of solid offers out there.
