For a few weeks now the rumor mill has churned suggesting that the Nuggets were exploring trading the selection and the pick has reportedly been involved in trade discussions for Kevin Love and with the Chicago Bulls, who are attempting to rid themselves of their No. 16 and No. 19 picks.
Denver has yet to find a deal satisfactory towards their needs but Yahoo Sports is reporting that there is currently a hefty amount of interest in the 11th pick and that the Denver Nuggets appear ready to move the selection.
It’s hard to suggest what type of value the pick will bring, though, Denver may be best served by waiting until draft night to actually make a move. As players begin to slip and teams realize they can likely obtain a player with a particular selection spot, phones begin to ring and values of the said pick often go up.
There are also said to be a handful of teams looking to trade their early first round selections as well, like the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings however those picks are likely a bit too expensive for teams looking to acquire a selection out of the top ten.
Wojo does not go on to elaborate on which teams may have interest in acquiring the pick, so we may not find out who is interested until Thursday night.
