The United States was able to hang tough in the game because of a World Cup record saves performance from goalie Tim Howard, but in the end the Belgium attack was able to net two goals for the win.
With the United States now eliminated from the World Cup, they can begin to look back at their performance.
For midfielder Alejandro Bedoya, that led to every member of the USMNT receiving a special bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Now, that is how you start off a celebration.

“I wanted to do something to commemorate the occasion, because win or lose, making it to the World Cup, especially to the Round of 16, is an epic achievement.
“We can’t change the past, but we can take a moment to reflect on this experience and use it to drive us forward. What we decide to do next, whether it’s on or off the playing field, that’s where all of our potential lies. I am inspired to keep walking down the road ahead.”
The bottles that Bedoya handed out to his teammates featured a special engraved message that read, “Brazil was just the beginning. Keep walking.”
Here is a photo of the bottle that was given to each of Bedoya’s teammates:
After indulging in the alcohol and enjoying themselves, the bottle will be a great keepsake from their time in Brazil.
Let’s just hope that Bedoya doesn’t have to pay for a drink next time he is out with all of his teammates.
