Carmelo Anthony rumors: Does Kevin Durant want him to re-sign with Knicks?
By Bryan Rose
The NBA’s Western Conference is already tough enough and it’s possible that Kevin Durant, star of the Oklahoma City Thunder doesn’t want it getting anymore difficult by Carmelo Anthony leaving the New York Knicks in free agency.

Given that, it’s possible that Durant was trying to sell his friend on the idea of re-signing with the New York Knicks by giving praise to Derek Fisher, his former teammate and now head coach of the Knicks.
According to Yahoo Sports, both Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony were working out in Los Angeles together recently and the OKC star gave a strong endorsement to Melo about Fisher.
It’s a win/win scenario here for Durant as he not only gives props to his friend and one time teammate, but also keeps Carmelo Anthony off of the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks or Houston Rockets – three Western Conference teams he’s been rumored to have interest in.
Of course, Kevin Durant may not care where Carmelo Anthony decides to sign and was simply attempting to put in a good word for Derek Fisher because he’s a kind-hearted guy, though I’m guessing he probably wouldn’t be brokenhearted if Anthony decided to return to the Big Apple and re-sign with the New York Knicks.
As for Anthony, where he lands is still a big question mark as he’s understandably waiting on a decision from LeBron James. Once that happens, the rest of the league dominoes will quickly begin to fall and Anthony’s decision on his future home should come quickly thereafter.
