Neymar was 2 cm from being paralyzed, he says

During Brazil’s World Cup quarterfinal match against Colombia, star forward Neymar was hit in the back by a knee from Colombia defender Juan Zuniga that brought an end to his World Cup campaign.

Neymar suffered a fractured vertabrae and his team came crashing out of the World Cup just a few days later.
After having some time to digest the injury, Neymar spoke about what it was like when he first took the knee to the back.
As it turns out, Neymar was lucky to only suffer a fractured vertabrae.
According to Sky Sports, the 22-year-old Neymar revealed that he was two centimeters away from being paralyzed.

It was previously reported that Neymar was worried after taking the knee to his back and that he was unable to feel some of his lower extremities and this latest report seems to indicate that the injury could have been much, much worse.
