There was the picture of him partying in Las Vegas over Memorial Day weekend, harmless fun. Then a picture of what appears to be a sloppy drunk Manziel laying on an inflatable swan in a pool in a club sipping champagne out of a bottle, a bit more worrisome. Then came the photo of him rolling up a $20 bill in a bathroom that set up some red flags.
Browns head coach Mike Pettine said that he addressed it with his quarterback.
“I don’t want to get into a (public) discussion of every picture that comes out, but I talked to him about it,” Pettine told Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer. “We anticipate this will quiet down once the season starts. As committed as Johnny is to football, this stuff should not be an issue once camp gets underway.”
Pettine also added that the photo is old, saying “I haven’t verified it, but somebody told me that it wasn’t recent.”
