Kevin Love rumors: Timberwolves talking about not trading him?
By Bryan Rose
It doesn’t seem likely that the Minnesota Timberwolves would be willing to deal with Kevin Love trade rumors for the next year, but it’s something the franchise is said to be considering.

That’s the word from Terry Pluto who suggests that if the Timberwolves aren’t enamored with any return (which is said to be a full on demand for Andrew Wiggins), they may opt to keep Kevin Love for the entire 2014-15 season and attempt to sign-and-trade him after the end of the season.
"Minnesota could keep Love and try to win as many games as possible, then work a sign-and-trade next summer. It’s doubtful Minnesota will go in that direction, but it is being discussed."
While it might be talked about, it seems like a bit of a last resort for the Timberwolves at this point.
Attempting to build a successful roster, it would seem a year full of distractions and trade rumors would all but destroy any chemistry and progress the franchise has made in the last year or two. On top of that, with Love entering free agency few teams are going to give away the farm for the All-Star power forward considering a handful would be able to sign him outright. Now, he would be able to get more years and money in a sign-and-trade scenario considering the Timberwolves would own his bird rights and that might be of interest to Love. But on the same token the Timberwolves would be hamstrung by whomever Kevin Love wanted to sign with.
So while it’s understandable that it’s being discussed, it seems incredibly unlikely and posturing on the Wolves part.
