The Cincinnati Bengals will be without No. 2 wide receiver Marvin Jones for a “few weeks” after he suffered a broken foot over the weekend, according to Geoff Hobson from Bengals.com.

Jones, 24, emerged as a reliable No. 2 receiver to complement A.J. Green and give Andy Dalton a second target in the passing game when opposing defenses roll coverage to the Pro Bowl receiver, who was named as the NFL’s second-best player at his position in a countdown on NFL Network earlier this summer.
Hobson says a pin has been placed in his fifth metatarsal and presents quite a quandary for head coach Marvin Lewis.
That decision to the question posed by Hobson does not have to be made immediately as they have some time to determine what the best course of action will be before making a definite decision.
It sure would have been intriguing if the Bengals were on HBO’s Hard Knocks this season to see how Lewis and the Bengals front office went through their thought process with the status of Lewis, but we will just have to wait to see what happens.
Lewis recorded 51 receptions last season for 712 yards and 10 touchdowns in a breakout second season since the Bengals spent a fifth round pick in 2011 on the former California receiver.
