Former NFL head coach and current NBC analyst Tony Dungy has been spending his Sunday afternoon like the vast majority of the country, watching football.
More from Baltimore Ravens
- Ravens need to give Odell Beckham Jr. a reason not to retire
- NFL Rumors: Ravens additions might not be done after signing Melvin Gordon
- NFL Power Rankings: Who is the best quarterback in each division?
- Is Mark Ingram’s new CFB gig a signal that he’s retired from NFL?
- NFL Power Rankings: Which teams will have the best rushing attacks this season?
Likely sitting in a New York based studio preparing for his Sunday night broadcast, Dungy has been critiquing a multitude of games including the contest between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Through the first half the Ravens have struggled thanks to a rather stout Bengals defense which kept them off the board during the first two quarters. That was apparently rather impressive to Dungy who bestowed praise upon the Cincinnati Bengals defense.
Oops. Damn that auto correct. Tony Dungy of course erased his tweet and quickly replaced it with this:
Bengals D has been very impressive so far in shutting out Baltimore in first half. O has been efficient but hasn't delivered the KO yet
— Tony Dungy (@TonyDungy) September 7, 2014
Alas, the quick fingers of Tony Dungy weren’t lightning fast enough as a collection of Twitter users were able to take a screenshot of the blunder, though, it was rather accurate in fairness to the former NFL coach. The Bengals offense was playing terrible though their defense looked wonderful.
As if the tweet wasn’t bad enough, literally just moments after Dungy made mention of how well the Bengals were playing, Baltimore was able to block a field goal attempt and placed themselves in good field position after the recovery.
It’s okay coach – we’ve all fallen victim to that dirty auto correct.
