Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has understandably refrained from talking about the Ray Rice situation, though the veteran did drop a subtle hint directed at the league on social media.

More from Atlanta Falcons

As you likely recall, the NFL says they never received the full video which showed Ray Rice’s disgusting behavior and thus couldn’t make a concrete decision regarding Rice’s suspension. That account has been refuted by authorities who said they did indeed provide the tape to the NFL. Meanwhile the league continues to maintain their stance regarding their lack of viewing, suggesting that they don’t have the type of power to request security tape.

Such a sentiment isn’t something Roddy White is buying as the Atlanta Falcons Pro Bowl talent posted the following (since deleted) tweet suggesting the NFL’s knowledge of things is scary.

Understandably the Atlanta Falcons PR team likely rushed to get White to remove the tweet given the nature of the incident, though few are buying the story being presented by the league. It’s hard to imagine the NFL, with all of their resources couldn’t get their hands on a simple security tape, especially when it was reportedly offered to them from multiple outlets.

The fact that a player in their own league called them out for such makes it even worse.

In fairness to the NFL, they have every right to do intense background checks on those entering their league, but it seems evident they could have seen the Ray Rice tape had they desired.
