With the Ray Rice scandal that has led to accusations and now reports that Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been indicted for child abuse, the NFL has seen an awful week. But, there is still some good news that the NFL has to offer. And that’s what Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still and his team are doing for his four year old daughter.

The Bengals announced Monday that they would be selling Devon Still jerseys and all the money would be going towards pediatric cancer research. Since then, over 5,o00 jerseys have been sold.

Still said via Twitter that his jersey sales have raised $400,000 alone for pediatric cancer research and he’s clearly excited about it. Still’s 4-year-old daughter, Leah, was diagnosed in June with Stage 4 neuroblastoma. She’s been given a 50-50 chance of surviving.

One of the heacy supporters for Still and his family has been New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton who bought 100 jerseys out of his own pocket and they’ll be given to kids at Cincinnati’s children’s hospital and local Boys and Girls Clubs.

Still, who had been cut by the Bengals, was added back to the 53-man roster earlier this week when the Bengals realized he’s been distracted by his daughter’s illness and needs money to support her hospital payments. Still has a chance to be on the field for Cincinnati’s home opener against Atlanta on Sunday.
