By Bryan Rose
The 2013-14 season was riddled with injuries for the Denver Nuggets which forced the organization to miss the playoffs with a 36-46 record.

Playing in a deep Western Conference doesn’t help, but are the Denver Nuggets being overlooked because of the unforeseen incidents they dealt with last season? That’s the thought of Jabari Davis who says the Nuggets could be the most overlooked team in the West this season.
"I’ve written several articles on expectations for New Orleans, but Denver is almost that forgotten team in such a deep Western Conference. You’re exactly right about the depth Denver has, and I’m really excited to see Gallo back in the fold. I would expect them to establish more of an identity in Shaw’s second year. At this point in JaVale’s career, I think we sort of see what we’re going to get, but it would be great to see him continue to develop."
While the Denver Nuggets will return a very similar team, they’ll likely experience the return of Danilo Gallinari sometime before Christmas while Arron Afflalo joins the ranks after he was acquired from the Orlando Magic.
Cracking the playoff rotation in the West will be difficult considering it’s so stacked from top to bottom, however, barring injuries the Denver Nuggets should find themselves in contention for a postseason birth. Of course, it did take nearly 50 wins just to snag the 8th seed last year so Denver will need a little luck on their side if they’re to be playing come May.
