The Milwaukee Bucks acquired Bradnon Knight from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for a newly signed Brandon Jennings. However, Knight’s future with the Bucks seems somewhat up in the air. There were rumors he could be traded in the offseason and one report suggests he will not be receiving a contract extension.

Zach Lowe of Grantland doesn’t see Knight getting a big extension from the Bucks but thinks he could remain with the Bucks because teams with cap space don’t necessarily need the type of player Knight is.

"But there are only a half-dozen teams in dire need of an upgrade at point guard. Houston has a ball-dominant shooting guard, Orlando drafted Victor Oladipo and Elfrid Payton in consecutive years, the Heat won’t have cap space next summer, and the Lakers and Knicks will set their sights higher in free agency — at least at first.Knight is a great guy and a tenacious worker, but he doesn’t seem primed for a massive breakout. The Bucks can hold a firm line at $7 million or lower."

Knight averaged 17.9 points, 4.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 42.2% from the field, 32.5% from beyond the arc and 80.2% from the charity stripe. Knight, a former Kentucky Wildcats’ star who was originally selected with the eighth-overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons, was dealt from the Pistons to the Bucks in the Brandon Jennings sign-and-trade last summer. He’s averaged 14.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 41.5% from the field, 35.6% from three and 77.1% from the free throw line in his three-year career.
