As anyone who reads Twitter knows, the question of momentum in sports leads to all sorts of interesting philosophical discussions.

More from Baltimore Ravens

Some think momentum is an important factor, while others argue that what we call momentum is really an illusion, an ex post facto fallacy rather than a true factor that influences outcomes.

Ray Lewis is here to cut through all that smarty-talk analytical jive and explain to you all about momentum from the point-of-view of a player.

Remember, if you never played the game like Ray, you can’t question the wisdom he is throwing out here. You have to shut up and take what he says as gospel.

There is no argument against what Ray is saying here. Ray speaks with authority. He speaks plainly and simply and from the heart.

Don’t even bother tangling with Ray on this one. He’ll stab you with his logic. He’ll shiv you in the ribs with his facts. He’ll run you through with his arguing power.

I’m glad that’s settled now. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Ray Lewis is our Socrates.
