While the Milwaukee Bucks have a solid young core in Jabari Parker and Larry Sanders, they also have an influx of veteran talent that really serves no purpose to a rebuilding team.

More from Milwaukee Bucks

Given that, it’s expected the Milwaukee Bucks will be making some moves this season which could include the trading of a veteran guard (or possibly more than one). That’s the belief of Basketball Insiders who suggests it’s very possible Jared Bayless, Jared Dudley, O.J. Mayo or Brandon Knight may be changing zip codes.

"Of course Knight could potentially spend a chunk of time providing coverage at point guard, which could loosen the rotation crunch in the backcourt. Dudley could also play some three, although Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo look poised to take most of the minutes there. But for a rebuilding team, like Milwaukee, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the club attempt to flip one of these assets to address a more pressing need."

It seems unlikely that Brandon Knight would be moved given his age and O.J. Mayo isn’t likely to draw much interest. Given that, it seems difficult to suggest that any of those mentioned would net the Milwaukee Bucks any serious assets in return, though just shedding salary might be reason enough for the front office to pull the trigger.

Building a roster around Jabari Parker will take some time, but at least the Milwaukee Bucks now having something to build around.
