In terms of Jeremy Lin’s offensive abilities, they’ve never been in question. His defense has proven to be another story, but offensively Jeremy Lin has routinely been among the better in the league.

Might there be a hidden facet of Jeremy Lin’s offensive game that hasn’t been unveiled yet though? That’s the belief of the Los Angeles Lakers who seem to feel Jeremy Lin still has untapped offensive potential.

An effective shooter, the Lakers are hopeful that solid pick-and-roll big men will help the point guard take the next step into even bigger stardom.

"Having solid pick-and-roll bigs like Ed Davis and Jordan Hill and a pick-and-pop big in Carlos Boozer to complement his skillset should benefit Lin, but perhaps the most important key to unlocking his offensive potential will be new head coach Byron Scott. In the past, Scott has coached some of the league’s best pick-and-roll guards, such as Chris Paul and Kyrie Irving. Lin’s ability to slice to the hoop and make intelligent passes could be a critical weapon as Scott implements his new offensive system."

Something Lin lacked during his stint with the Houston Rockets was a big man that could step out and hit a shot. That allowed the opposing defense to stick with the point guard, rather than guarding the big man sitting at the elbow.

Now with the Los Angeles Lakers, Carlos Boozer, Jordan Hill and company may have a field day with Lin handling the rock.
