Just a few years ago, Ramon Sessions was supposedly the answer for the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, he can’t find a job. Despite interest from a few teams, Sessions remains a free agent.

According to Chuck Myron, Sessions would be a good fit for the Sacramento Kings.

"I thought the Rockets would be more interested in you than they appear to be, but it doesn’t sound like they’re biting. I think you’re a starting-caliber point guard on the right team. You’d be a fit with the Lakers more so than you were the last time, but I think the Lakers probably don’t want to revisit a disappointing chapter in their history. Maybe once the Kings waive Gee and Hopson and create some breathing room beneath the tax, they’ll throw some money your way. You could beat out Collison for that starting job sooner or later."

Sessions is still a solid player and it’s a bit of a surprise he hasn’t been signed. Although they gave Collison a nice deal, Myron is right – it isn’t out of the question that Sessions could beat him out.

Sessions averaged 12.3 points, 4.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game while shooting 42.9% from the field, 28.2% from beyond the arc and 80.7% from the free throw line for both the Bucks and Hornets last season. Sessions was selected with the 56th-overall selection in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft. Sessions, who has also played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers, has put up 11.7 points, 4.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 43.9% from the field, 31.1% from three and 80.0% from the charity stripe in his seven-year career.
