Earlier this week, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid suggested that running back Jamaal Charles had an ankle sprain.

Not only that, but Reid hinted it was of the dreaded ‘high’ ankle sprain variety.
Very often those can take a significant amount of recovery time which didn’t spell out very good news for the Kansas City Chiefs star player.
But shockingly, Jamaal Charles is apparently feeling much better as the running back returned to practice on Thursday afternoon.
WHOA, Jamaal Charles is practicing today!

As is the case for most in the NFL, if you don’t practice come the end of the week you aren’t likely to see the field come Sunday. Given that, Jamaal Charles obviously wanted to get back to practice.
What does this mean for his status on Sunday?
Obviously it’s a fantastic sign for he and the Kansas City Chiefs, though the team has not made any official announcement yet regarding his status for the Week 3 game.
They’re likely to evaluate Jamaal Charles after practice and hope there were no setbacks.
Assuming that is to be the case, you would have to think there’s a very good chance Jamaal Charles will suit up and be on the Kansas City Chiefs active roster Sunday afternoon.
