The Cincinnati Bengals got some good news heading into the weekend before Week 3 and Sunday action. It appears A.J. Green is feeling well enough to play after having suffered a turf toe injury. Geoff Hobson of the team website broke the news on Friday via Twitter.

Green returned to practice on Thursday and reported no soreness in his toe on Friday, per RotoWorld, which could be all the sign the Bengals need to suit up their top receiver for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. That said, turf toe is one of those nasty little injuries that can linger and regress under certain duress. If there’s one thing NFL games are good for, it’s some physical duress, which is why Green may still be limping some in Week 3.
That said, the Titans don’t pose the same challenge to the Bengals that either of their first two opponents did and none of that stopped the Bengals from moving up to 2-0. The team’s defense is keyed and the offense is moving forward with a balanced attack. As much as QB Andy Dalton would surely love to have his favorite target back, one can expect the Bengals to still be favorites even if Green is limited in play.
