NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to speak publicly Friday afternoon
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will speak publicly in the press conference this afternoon where he is expected to address recent domestic violence among NFL players including Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, Jonathan Dwyer, Greg Hardy and Ray MacDonald.

Goodell has received immense criticism in his dealings with the Ray Rice investigation, which has also led to an appeal of his indefinite suspension by the NFL Players Association. Now, he’ll be giving his first press conference since possibly the worst two weeks in NFL history, in regards to the media.
This morning, the NFL sent a memo to NFL teams and staff where the league announced a partnership with the National Domestic Violence Hotline and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center. In addition to those partnerships, all NFL teams and personnel will participate in education on domestic violence and sexual assault.
The NFL’s image has been shattered in the first two weeks of a much anticipated season. While Goodell has definitely lost most of any support he had, he’ll see what he can salvage with the NFL’s personal conduct policy and new domestic violence awareness education programs.
