However, after what many considered shaky performances in a 37-31 win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys and a 37-12 victory over The Citadel, their odds to win the title began to drop. Now that they were nearly defeated by the Clemson Tigers, surviving 23-17 in overtime on Saturday, their odds again dropped, this time from 5/1 to 15/2.
The Auburn Tigers, fresh off a victory over the Kansas State Wildcats, also have 15/2 odds. The Oklahoma Sooners, now after 4-0 after a 45-33 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers, also have 15/2 odds to win the title.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are the new favorite after a dominating 42-21 victory over the Florida Gators Saturday. They have 13/2 odds to win the title.
